I will begin with my summary.
GA224BriefSummaryThere are a couple of summaries that I am expecting that I don’t see yet, but I will insert them here when they appear.
Some local summaries include ones from…
- Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area Stated Clerk (Elona Street-Stewart’s home presbytery)
- Presbytery of Philadelphia Commissioners’ blog including a concluding reflection from Presbytery Executive Ruth Santana-Grace
In addition, there have been several reactions to the General Assembly, particularly in regards to how it handled racial justice issues. Here are the blog posts and open letters I know about that address this
- A Common Statement on Racism, Advocacy for Black Women and Girls, and the 224th General Assembly (2020) from former Moderators of the PC(USA) and predecessor denominations
- An open letter signed by numerous individuals in committee leadership and other roles with the PC(USA). Published as a tweet thread by Laura M. Cheifetz and collected here on the Thread Reader
- Watching White Supremacy: On the 224th General Assembly, from a member of the Special Committee on Racism Truth and Reconciliation, by Ryan Landino
